About Me

Hello! My name is Alex and I am a registered psychologist and the clinician and director of Nourish Healthcare. I hold general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults providing both psychological assessment and therapy services. My work often sits where neurodevelopmental differences, disability, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, relationships, and life circumstances overlap.

I began clinical practice in 2014 and have worked across disability, education, hospital and community services, justice settings, and private practice. These settings have shaped a steady, practical, and formulation-driven way of working, particularly when life is complex or there are multiple systems involved. I also have experience working with people who have current or historical involvement with the justice system, including situations where trust can take time and the work needs to be approached carefully.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, evidence-informed, and relational. I draw from cognitive, behavioural, humanistic, and psychodynamic models, while shaping the work around each person’s needs, goals, context, and lived experience. We may focus on understanding patterns, processing emotion, building practical skills, strengthening communication, or making sense of the parts of life that feel stuck, overwhelming, or difficult to manage.

I value therapy that feels clear and useful. I will explain what we are doing and why, while also making space for reflection, honesty, and a deeper understanding of self. I do not to apply a one-size-fits-all model, but to help people understand how they work, what supports them, and what changes may help life feel more manageable and meaningful.

Nourish Healthcare is a sole-clinician practice. This allows for direct communication, continuity of care, and a consistent therapeutic relationship.
